Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Wednesday declared openly that the closing period of demands and industries would be determined in agreement with merchants’ organizations and other stakeholders for an adequate commission of the federal power abstinence dream.
Dealing with a consultative conference with the ambassadors of the All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran (APAT), the pastor asserted the administration’s imagination to assure power preservation through less consumption in the saleable sector.

“The initiative is intended to help relieve the burden on the country’s foreign reserves that are being spent every year on the import of oil and gas to ensure power production,” declared Asif.
“The country can no longer afford the import bill of fossil fuels for power production – comprising 20% of the total import expenditure of $80 billion a year,” declared Asif.
“Pakistan is blessed with sunshine on all 365 days of the year which can be utilized to generate cost-effective and eco-friendly energy,” he summed up.
APAT administrators Muhammad Naeem Mir and Ajmal Baloch also illustrated their suggestions and recommendations on the administration’s recommendation to enforce the closure timings of markets at 8 pm, dining halls and restaurants at 10 pm.
The briefing on the nation’s national power abstinence drive was illustrated by the Power Division Secretary Rashid Mahmood Langrial.
