Indian Finance Minister to Come Across With The Chiefs Of Banks

The finance ministry has called a conference of chiefs of general sector banks and top four private sector lenders to examine the improvement of the crisis credit line warrant scheme to enable industries influenced by Covid-19.

The conference is planned to be held on February 22 to examine improvement on Loan Guarantee Scheme for Covid-Affected Sectors, references let out.

The conference, to be chaired by Financial Services Secretary Vivek Joshi, would also glimpse participation from top private sector lenders HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank.

Extension of ECLGS and LGSCAS beyond March 31 as well as challenges associated to these would be contemplated.
