Pakistan Engineering Council Launches E-gateway to Promote Export of Engineering Services

The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has recently introduced an e-gateway to export services of Pakistani engineers to an international audience. This initiative was graced by notable engineers and diplomats, including Senator Engineer Rukhsana Zuberi, who attended as Chief Guest, and Guest of Honor Eric Hahn from the European Union (EU).

The PEC e-gateway is a significant step taken by the PEC’s Pakistan Development Committee to create opportunities and resources for engineers globally. This e-gateway offers a one-window solution for international companies seeking to engage qualified and registered Pakistani engineers and firms for their business needs. Furthermore, this platform provides a new avenue for business development and the export of Pakistani engineering talent.

The Washington Accord has paved the way for Pakistani engineers to be recognized as professionally accredited and provide their services in member countries. The PEC e-gateway is a step in the right direction for further growth and development of Pakistani engineering talent.

The PEC e-gateway aims to promote local engineering talent globally and reduce the brain drain at a national level. The initiative was welcomed by Engineer Mir Masood Rashid, Advisor to the Chairman PEC, who highlighted the need for such platforms considering the economic challenges of Pakistan.

The PEC e-gateway offers the services of professional and competent engineers who can provide consultancy and economical business solutions that are commercially practical. Engineer Lt. Gen. (r) Moazzam, Rector of NUTECH University, appreciated the PEC’s efforts and its PPDC committee for launching a platform that will take the engineering community into the next era. The biggest challenge faced by the engineering community is a lack of job opportunities, and such initiatives will help bridge the gap created in the market.

Senator Engineer Rukhsana Zuberi emphasized the importance of innovation and collaboration to drive Pakistan forward and achieve the export of engineering services. She called upon all stakeholders to contribute to the success.
