Volkswagen and Skoda Enter Pakistani Auto Market

Two leading automobile companies are preparing to enter the unstable automobile market in Pakistan. Premier Motors Limited (PML) is building a manufacturing facility in Hub, Balochistan to locally assemble Volkswagen (VW) and Skoda vehicles. During a visit to the under-construction plant, German Consul General Dr. Rüdiger Lotz stated that PML and VW Group will be locally assembling premium Skoda and VW cars for the first time in Pakistan.

Skoda Auto is based in the Czech Republic but is managed and owned by VW. The plant is set to be completed by 2024 and will have the capacity to produce 32,000 units per year. This is a major development in the Pakistani automobile sector and signals a new era of locally produced premium vehicles.

The establishment of this manufacturing facility will bring about new opportunities for employment and economic growth in the region. The government of Pakistan is promoting the development of the automobile sector, and the entry of these two major players will provide a boost to the industry.

Furthermore, it will also bring about new advancements in the local automobile industry as well as access to new technology and training opportunities. This will not only benefit the industry but also consumers, as they will have access to high-quality vehicles produced locally.

The entry of Volkswagen and Skoda into the Pakistani automobile market is a significant development, and it is expected to bring about new opportunities and advancements in the local industry. It is an exciting time for both the industry and consumers as they prepare for the launch of locally assembled premium vehicles.
